A cheek retractor is placed into your mouth. You will be asked to wear protective goggles and a soothing lip balm will be applied to prevent your lips from drying out during the treatment.”
A protective rubber barrier will be placed along the gingival (the area where the teeth meet the gum). This barrier is hardened with a curing light to prevent irritation of the gum from the whitening gel.”
A special whitening gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. The treatment will whiten between 16 and 20 teeth in your natural smile, depending on the shape of your mouth. The gels used are tailored to a pH of 6.2 (the same pH level as saliva). This means that it is impossible to damage or corrode the enamel of the tooth in any way
The Beyond laser accelerator is placed in front of your mouth for twelve minutes. After the cycle, gel is aspirated with a suction device and reapplied to the teeth. This is repeated over three consecutive cycles.
After completion of the three cycles, you will rinse into a sink or spittoon. Your new colour shade will be revealed and the results will contrasted against the old colour shade.
Our dental professional will give you advice on immediate and long term aftercare. You will be given a set of aftercare notes to take away with you.
Your finished! Go home and enjoy your new white bright smile.
